Bottles Package
A selection of Tenuta Santa Caterina wines made from "classic" autochthonous grape varieties of the Monferrato territory: as Vignalina, our Barbera d'Asti Superiore; Arlandino, our Grignolino aged in stainless steel; and finally our Nebbiolo Illegale, which matures for 12 months in large wooden barrels.
The package includes bottles in 0,75 L format of the following wines:
ILLEGALE Monferrato Nebbiolo Superiore
VIGNALINA Barbera d’Asti Superiore
ARLANDINO Grignolino d’Asti
Illegale / Grape: Nebbiolo 100%. Vineyard location: 300 meters above sea level with exposure to South / South-West. Density per hectare: 5,000 vines/hectare. Training system: Guyot. Harvesting by hand, from October. Grape production per hectare: 65 quintals/hectare. Fermentation temperature about 26-28°C with thermal control.
Vignalina / Grape Variety Barbera 100%. Vineyard location 350 metres a.s.l. with South/South-East facing. Density per hectare from 4,500 to 5,000 plants/hectare. Training system Guyot. Harvesting by hand, starting from the third week of September. Grape production per hectare 80 quintals/hectare. Fermentation temperature about 26-28° C, at a controlled temperature.
Arlandino / Grape variety Grignolino 100%. Vineyard location 350 metres a.s.l. with South/West facing. Density per hectare from 4,500 to 5,000 plants/hectare. Training system Guyot. Harvesting by hand, in the last ten days of September. Grape production per hectare 60/70 quintals/hectare. Fermentation temperature about 26-28° C, at a controlled temperature.
Illegale / Ageing in 30 hl large oak barrels for 12 months and bottled for a further 6 months
Vignalina / Ageing in oak barrels (30hl) for about 10 months and in the bottle for a further 6 months.
Arlandino / Ageing in stainless steel tanks, for 9 months.
Service temperature: Illegale 18-20°C / Vignalina 18-20°C / Arlandino 14-16°C
Alcohol content: Illegale 2021 14% vol / Vignalina 2020 15% vol / Arlandino 2022 15% vol
